Overland Custom Coach Inc., the original "Innovators in Accessible Transportation” began in 1981 under Ray and Joe Dries as Canada’s first distributor of commercial buses. As the transportation industry developed Overland not only grew with it, but in 1987, propelled its evolution with the creation of the industry’s first low-floor cutaway bus, The Economical Low Floor (The ELF). This visionary leap opened the door to the broader acceptance of low-cost, low-floor vehicles to attack barriers to public mobility and lead the way forward for today’s range of successor low-floor accessible vehicles.
